Engineering & Fabrication
Engineering
We can save your business time and money by providing you with modified enclosures; finished and ready to use. Tell us what holes, cut-outs, recesses and artwork you need and we will produce high quality, precise work every time. Our machines are perfect for repeat processes, with state of the art design and controls to produce drilling, tapping and milling.
Our in-house engineering department has over 40 years' experience in providing high quality sheet metal design and fabrication. We work in a wide range of industries including; Defence, Microelectronics, Medical and Instrumentation. We offer a comprehensive scope of manufacturing solutions from one off prototyping and development through to large volume orders, ensuring your project is delivered with accuracy and efficiency. We also have a dedicated CAD 3D design drawing facility to ensure your project development is supported and engineering requirements interpreted fully.
Using existing drawings or working alongside you to develop the exact requirements, our CAD/CAM capability ensures efficient, precise delivery of customised enclosures. We have in-depth knowledge of machining various materials, including thermoplastics, composites and other specialised materials. We offer high precision thread milling and rebated cutouts as well as complex internal features.

CNC Machining
We understand that you need enclosures to fit your specific project requirements. While standard enclosures are a good starting point, modifications for control panels, cable glands, ventilation, and more are often necessary. Manual modification methods can be labour-intensive and time-consuming for your business.
That's where our CNC machining service comes in. We use advanced, multi-axis machines to efficiently modify enclosures to your exact specifications. Simply provide your CAD drawings to us or let our experienced engineers design them for you.
Our team understand the intricacies of machining different materials, ensuring clean, precise cuts for every project, large or small. Our high-speed machines handle a wide range of enclosures, from compact junction boxes (150x150x80mm) to large floor standing cabinets (2000x1600x400mm), making them well-suited to both high or low volume production.

Sheet Metal Folding, Forming & Bending
iLECSYS have high-performance press brake machines that offer precision, speed, versatility and reliability for metal forming, bending and shaping operations.
Equipped with advanced control systems, our press brake machines use CAD drawings to produce a wide range of geometries including simple bends, complex angles and formed features such as brackets, channels or chassis. We have the capability of accurately shaping metal and polycarbonate sheets to a required specification, in materials up to 5mm thick and 3 metres in length.
Our team of experts work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium and polycarbonate and have a wealth of experience in metal forming processes.
- Maximum bending length 3000mm.
- Maximum thickness up to 5mm.
Material Types:
- Mild Steel
- Galvanised Steel

CNC Punching
Our CNC turret punch press is capable of punching holes, shapes and patterns in sheet metal with high speed and accuracy.
The punch press can process various materials, including steel, stainless steel and aluminium sheets up to 3mm thick. The automatic tool changer enables rapid transition between different punching tools, reducing setup time and increasing overall productivity for the customer.
CNC punching offers several advantages, including fast production, repeatable accuracy, versatility in hole sizes and shapes and cost-effectiveness for medium to high volume production runs.
We work with your CAD drawings or create them in-house, to achieve the exact hole patterns, shapes and dimensions you require. iLECSYS regularly produce mounting plates, and other punched sheet metal for products such as bespoke enclosures and brackets. Once punched, the sheet metal is then deburred, cleaned and finished before being sorted for further processing or delivery.
- Maximum material length 1250mm.
- Maximum thickness up to 3mm. (In stainless steel 2mm.)
Material Types:
- Mild Steel
- Galvanised Steel
- Stainless Steel

Design Team
Our design team have worked across a variety of projects and understand the complex requirements needed for innovative design solutions. We use SOLIDWORKS for the 3D design of parts and assemblies and for 2D drawing.
Our electrical designers use AutoCAD for the creation of schematics, providing an electrical design service and producing complex and comprehensive wiring diagrams. SOLIDWORKS allows for data collaboration with varied import and export facilities. The direct, model to 2D drawing, ensures that potential errors are eliminated as there is no re-drawing. We also use SOLIDWORKS PDM for data management, allowing for faster creation of new assemblies by re-using controlled CAD data. Don't worry if you are not sure what is needed, we can work with you to produce your project specifications and then walk you through the design process. High quality rendering ensures you get full visibility of the product or assembly before any manufacturing takes place.
Our engineering department is also able to offer the following services, Screen Printing, Finishing and Mechanical Assembly
